There\u2019s about 200 members and we\u2019re very close knit,\u201d Brunner said.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after he was introduced to the gym he was asked if we was interested in competing in the sport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI sure am,\u201d Brunner said.<\/p>\n<p>It was an ambitious goal for the rookie lifter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he came to us, he couldn\u2019t even sit and get up,\u201d his coach and owner of One Family Fitness Centre Kyla Camire said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-ad c-ad--bigbox l-article__ad\">\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"l-article__part\" data-shortcode=\"caption\">\n<figure class=\"c-figure c-figure--alignnone c-figure--expandable\">\n<div class=\"c-figure__inner\"><figcaption class=\"c-figure__caption c-caption\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"c-caption__desc\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\tRon Brunner and his coach Kyla Camire.\t\t\t\t<\/span><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<cite class=\"c-caption__cite\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\tArsalan Saeed\/Global News\t\t\t\t<\/cite><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>But Brunner was driven.
